Few weeks ago whilst analyzing the possibility of using Terraform[1] via terraform-libvirt [2] plugin, I came across Terratest [3], which is an automated testing framework.

My initial thoughts have been written here [4] but I'd still like to check out Terratest in more detail.

Main goal is to be able to replicate one of the Public Cloud testing scenarios that we already have in openQA but explicitly in Terratest

  • Test a public cloud scenario using only terratest
  • Setup a CI environment that compiles and runs the tests
  • Produce test results in a machine readable format
  • Learn Go (Which is the actual ultimate goal)
