Hippocardus is a flashcard bot for Telegram.
One of the most popular flashcard apps for the desktop and mobiles right now is Anki. I started using it to learn German, but adding cards to it is a clunky process. There had to be a better way!
Then I thought about how a flashcard app could actually be implemented as a Telegram bot. Thanks to inline bots like @gif or @bing, which let you quickly search for images, adding flascards will be a breeze. Plus, Telegram's inline keyboards also allow us to create the "practice" interface very easily.
By just coding one bot, we can achieve a flashcard application that will work in all platforms that Telegram supports: Android, iOS, Linux, OS X, Windows and Web.
Below is a sample of what I'd like to achieve:
I'll be creating a Ruby on Rails 5 app (using the latest beta) hosted on Heroku (it needs to be publicly available for it to work as a bot).
